Big Kid Reaction: This is a terrific alphabet book. It may not be the first one you introduce, but it is a must after your child has learned and can recognize their letters.
Pros: The poetry is engaging, using the letters IN words not just highlighting initial sounds adds dimension, complexity, and value to this book.

Borrow or Buy: Buy! The format is such that it offers complexity that will be valuable to pre-readers, early readers, and even those struggling with reading. At 2.99 it's a STEAL!
Educational Themes: This one is pretty straightforward: letters and letter sounds. For pre-readers and early readers, there is additional value in learning to recognize the letters in capital and lower-case forms.
