Little Kid Reaction: This is a very interesting book with awesome pictures. The field guide is especially helpful for young kids in identifying animals and plants. The book is very descriptive and informative about animals found in urban area.
Big Kid Reaction: It is a compact paperback that fits easily into a hiking bag. The text is clear and concise, the layout compliments the process of taking a nature walk, and the graphics are superb, all of which make this a book that will become dog-eared very quickly.
Pros: This book is an excellent handbook and a valuable tool for those contemplating conducting nature walks in urban areas. Science teachers, adults who are involved in scouting, after-school programs, day camp programs, or parents who are home-schooling children etc. will find this book to be an excellent tool in planning and conducting a nature walk.
