Summary: A child asks an adult (as only a child can) about how much and how long and how often they loves him. This is a book that puts into words the thoughts kids have about love.

Big Kid Reaction: It's nice to read a book that talks about love that isn't just explaining things to a child. It puts into words THEIR questions, the way they would ask them.
Pros: The illustrations are a nice change from the usual picture book fare. Although not billed as an adoption book, it's a great book for adoptive families, or even a favorite aunt/uncle to share, too.
Cons: None, really. Not sure the target audience would understand what "temper of the day" means, though.
Borrow or Buy: Buy! There are other "I Love You" books out there, but the fact that the story is driven by a child's questions make it a nice change.
Educational Themes: The theme is clear: I love you in every possible way from every conceivable angle. Its presentation is such that you could add your own superlatives.
