Summary: Miss Fox is tired of hearing her students fight so she suggests a peace week. She wants her students to find alternatives to arguing. So when Bunny gets teased about her yellow sweater, she says positive things back to frog instead of fighting. At the end of the week the class has enjoyed being nice and decides to try it all the time. This picture book offers kids ways to turn negatives into positives.

Little Kid Reaction: I picked this for my daughter, She enjoyed hearing about how the class tried to be nice to each other. She thought it was funny that they didn’t fight and said that most kids would. Still, she didn’t think it was believable they would want to keep being nice since it was so hard for them to be nice just that one week.
Big Kid Reaction: I liked this book. The illustrations are nice, and helped show kids examples of the silly things they fight over. This is a good book to read with a child or children who are fighting or aggravating each other.
Pros: This is a story parents will like because it says the things they say (but kids don't listen to). Kids will recognize themselves in the examples.
Cons: None.
Borrow or Buy: Buy. Especially if you have more than one child! This is an excellent choice for the school or classroom library.
Educational Themes: Although this book is set in school, it would also work well with siblings. There are several layers that you can talk about, and it is a perfect book for practing interpersonal skills with "what would you do" type questions - and let kids play both sides. You can talk about habits and how hard (but rewarding) it can be to change them, communication, and behavior.
