Little Kid Reaction: My daughter picked this book because she was curious about how many different kinds of sharks there were. Still, she she covered her eyes at first when looking at some of the pictures. She liked the pictures and how they showed the different ways the sharks are shaped. She also was very excited that there were so many different kinds of sharks.
Big Kid Reaction: I thought the book was very informative but not so overwhelming with facts that you were bored. Each shark was explained with just the right amount of details so you understood it.
Pros: This is a good book for young kids who want to do research on sharks. Simple pictures and the text matched the pictures you were looking at.
Cons: The book may not be for every child. If your child scares easily, you need to know that some of the pictures may scare them.
Borrow or Buy: Borrow. This is a fascinating book, but unless you have a shark lover, it isn't a book you'd add to your library forever.
