Summary: When we last saw Halfden, his step-brother Toke was hunting him down. Toke wants to eliminate all challenges to Danish crown. Halfden's prowess as an archer opened the door for him to become a Norseman. After proving himself an able archer and blacksmith, he was advised to join a viking longboat crew. As the adventure continues, Toke is relentless in his effort to find and kill Halfdan. This is the second book in this historical fiction adventure series.

Big Kid Reaction: Authors who choose to write sequels sometimes find it very difficult to sustain the level of excitement that initially engaged the reader. In the case of Dragons From The Sea, the author provides a seamless interface with Viking Warrior (Book One) without skipping a beat.
Pros: This book is historical fiction at its very best. Excellent writing, solid characters, and lots of action and adventure continue to keep the reader engaged in this historical fiction trilogy.

Borrow or Buy: Buy. Especially for readers who have an interest in medieval history. Having a copy in the school or public library might be the appropriate place to have a copy of the book available since it is a niche topic.
Educational Themes: This book is historical fiction at its very best. The author is an accomplished and knowledgeable expert on the Viking Era. Equally important, he knows how to educate, as well as, entertain the reader.
