Summary: This is the Spanish version of the classic children's book. A little bunny says goodnight to all of the things in his bedroom. The story is a child's eye catalog of the important things in his world
Type of Reading: bedtime story
Recommended Age: 3 to 6
Age of Child: first read at 9 months
Little Kid Reaction: As the child's identification skills expanded, the interest in reading the Spanish (vice the English) version increased.
Big Kid Reaction: In English or Spanish, it's a pretty straightforward book. It's a great opportunity to practice pronunciation and expand one's vocabulary.
Pros: It's great to find a classic in a different language! With a known story, it's easier to introduce a second language to our child.
Cons: This isn't an easy read for early/beginning Spanish speakers.
Borrow or Buy: If you're not a native or conversational Spanish speaker, borrow it first to see how comfortable you are with the vocabulary and pronunciation.
Educational Themes: The combination of pictures and few words offer ample opportunity for interactive reading and object identification.
Literary Categories: Fiction - picture book, foreign language
