Summary: Nan Star has started her journey to return the lost baby star to his home in the heavens. She and the baby star enjoyed a picnic, but as darkness fell, Nana became afraid. The Moonman introduced himself, assuring her that she was not alone. He also told her how to help baby star. This is the second title in this fantasy adventure series about a little girl and her beloved star. It comes with an eBook narration.

Little Kid Reaction: We have tried repeatedly to engage our child in this book, but cannot get her to sit for more than a few pages. It bothers her that Nana Star's eyes are always closed.
Big Kid Reaction: This is a disappointing book. The illustrations are bright, and I love that the pages aren't crammed with color or text. Still, the story itself is stilted. The Moonman gives Nana Star the next steps, but the story is not over. If we want to continue, we'll need to wait for book three.
Pros: Bright illustrations and lots of smiling faces will attract young readers to this book.
Cons: Although sequels are an effective strategy for chapter books, picture book audiences want a self-contained story between the covers.
Borrow or Buy: Borrow. Very young children may enjoy this story of a little star.
Educational Themes: This is a boo meant to be shared as a story. It offers themes of love and other emotions that you'd expect of a children's book.
