Little Kid Reaction: The kids love this book for its colorful pictures, and the fact that they get to participate. Everyone enjoyed singing along and dancing when we played the music CD.
Big Kid Reaction: This is a book/CD combo that everyone can enjoy.
Pros: Kids have fun learning the names of adult and baby animals; the repetition through the song helps reinforce the learning. The Music CD is a real plus.

Borrow or Buy: Buy. This is a book/CD combo that will give you hours of singing along, having a great time making animal noises, and dancing with wild abandon with your kids.
Educational Themes: This book has endless potential. Teach/practice the names of the mother animal and their babies, colors, and family members, and make a game of this after reading the book. Since the animals are presented in pairs, you can teach counting in a new way, up to 16. Talk about the people in your own family, what their names are, how they are related, where they live. Share family pictures and stories.
