Meet Neal R. Voron

“When you could do anything, what you decide to do is important,” author Neal R. Voron says on the web site for his music label, RyKy Records™. That philosophy is the cornerstone of Voron Communications. As president of Voron Communications, Neal deliberately seeks to “make a difference” in people’s lives through RyKy Records™ (named for his sons Ryan and Kyle), his numerous web sites; his self-help/inspirational novel, The Obstacle Course; and his other writings, including song lyrics.

Neal sees possibilities and works towards achieving them, learning and producing results along the way for the benefit of others. His interest in getting The Obstacle Course published led to his involvement in Internet-related marketing and publishing. In the mid-1990s, web sites he created helped educate thousands of people about the responsible use of email autoresponders and about dealing with shiftwork health, work, and lifestyle issues. Through RyKy Records™ Neal pursues his vision to reach out to enlighten and entertain audiences worldwide. He has been the major driving force in bringing RyKy Records™ co-founder Joseph F.M. Pokorny’s musical catalog to publication. Voron’s first song, "We Thought She’d Live Forever," co-written with Pokorny, is a climactic song in Wind Dance, an Irish love story musical.

The Philadelphia, PA native and resident is no stranger to visualizing and working hard to achieve his goals. He traveled for 2½ hours a day for four years to attend Central High School, a well-known academic public high school. He earned a BA in Journalism and Communications from Point Park University in 1983. He is a full-time employee with a government agency, is President of Voron Communications, and pursues his passions of writing and publishing. Neal and his wife, Barbarann, a psychotherapist, persisted in their effort to raise a family despite incredible odds against this dream. Today, they are the proud parents of sons Ryan and Kyle.

The Vorons know good things can happen when you look for solutions and put forth the effort. Neal says, “Your attitudes and actions play key roles in how you succeed in the ‘obstacle course of life’!"
