Author: Clare Ham Grosgebauer

Illustrator: Karen Rissing

Reserve at the Library

Publisher: Small Wonders Enterprises,

Material: paperback

Summary: Kids can create their own Snickerdoodle™ adventures and color pictures of some of the key characters. This is a workbook/coloring book for kids.

Type of Reading: playtime reading, interactive reading

Recommended Age: read together: 3 to 7; read yourself: 6 to 9

Interest Level: 3 to 8

Age of Child: Started reading with 4-year-old child. Still reading with child now 7 years old.

Young Reader Reaction: For months now, our preschooler has pulled this from her 'arts and crafts' drawer to color the pictures in the notebook. S/He hasn't taken advantage of opportunities to draw pictures from scratch, though.

Adult Reader Reaction: This is a nice complement to the stories. You need to have the stories first for this to be of value.

Pros: The book makes the stories more meaningful for kids and engages them in imaginative, independent play. It's a nice way to get the kids engaged when you want quiet time (like fixing dinner).

Cons: None.

Borrow or Buy: Buy, but not unless you've gotten at least one other Snickerdoodle!™ book.

If You Liked This Book, Try: LET'S GET READY FOR KINDERGARTEN!   SNICKERDOODLE!™ A TALL TALE ABOUT A POWERFUL PEE-WEE!   MY ADVENTURE TO THE FAIR; Where You Create the Story #5
