Young Reader Reaction: Our child found the illustrations funny, but didn't always connect with the poem.

Adult Reader Reaction: Dad didn't like this one, Mom thought it was a great change. The poetry is clever, creative, and humorous. Although designed as a children's book, it takes a savvy reader/listener to enjoy all the book has to offer.

Pros: The combination of illustrations and clever verses create a fun way to introduce poetry to kids.

Cons: Although you don't need to be a Haiku expert (5 syllable line; 7 syllable line; 5 syllable line), it does take a little bit to adjust to the pace of the book.

Borrow or Buy: Borrow. This is a fun book to read, and will definitely cause a giggle or two.
