Young Reader Reaction: My child loved it.

Adult Reader Reaction: I liked the lesson on jealousy. The author incorporated the lesson in a a fun way that appeals to little girls, but can also be appreciated by boys.

Pros: Even with the pink and princess elements, this is a story with a lesson that all young readers will connect with.

Cons: None.

Borrow or Buy: Borrow, at least. If you have a child that struggles with feelings or friendship, this would be a handy book to have around. It is a definite buy for an elementary school library.

Educational Themes: This is an excellent story to talk about feelings and how to deal with them. The main theme is jealousy, but there are other emotions. For example, the story opens with the two girls laughing together.
