Young Reader Reaction: It's funny to see the knight trying and failing to use his lance, and the dragon setting everything afire but his opponent.

Adult Reader Reaction: So they opened a BBQ restaurant?!? Okay, I suppose the moral is, don’t fight?

Pros: Tomie De Paola's artwork is, of course, terrific.

Cons: A BBQ restaurant?!? It's such a hard left turn that readers get whiplash.

Borrow or Buy: Borrow, unless you're a huge dePaola fan.
