Adult Reader Reaction: This book is a great beginner book for children learning to read. However, my son's reading ability was beyond that of the book so he zipped through it without really enjoying the illustrations or plot.

Pros: With its large print and cute illustrations, this is a nice choice for beginning readers - especially those who love soccer.

Cons: None.

Borrow or Buy: Skip. I think there are more engaging beginner reader books.
