Young Reader Reaction: This Maisy book took a few readings before we garnered any interest. Now, a year later, it is a book we're asked to pull off the shelf every couple of months.

Adult Reader Reaction: Of the Maisy stories we have, this one is one of the better ones. They're a little too simplistic for our taste, but they aren't for us!

Pros: With just one sentence per page, the book moves fast.

Cons: None, really. It's a fairly predictable story.

Borrow or Buy: Borrow. You'll read it a few times to your preschooler; then you can borrow again for your first grader.

If You Liked This Book, Try: MAISY's SNOWY CHRISTMAS EVE   ELLASENSE MISSES THE TRAIN   WINNIE THE POOH & HIS FRIENDS (SET OF 4 BOARD BOOKS: Roo's Big Adventure, Blackberry Surprise, A Reel Fishy Story, Nightime Mystery )
