Young Reader Reaction: The kids didn't like this book.
Adult Reader Reaction: The parents liked the helpful strategies, but the readability was much too high for some of our parents. It´┐½s an excellent resource for parenting centers and should be used for group activities for parenting workshops.
Pros: This is a useful book for helping parents understand the requirements for first grade and to help them prepare their children.
Cons: This is a book for parents to instruct the child. The reading level of the material itself may be beyond some parents' capabilities.
