Young Reader Reaction: My daughter asked me to stop reading this book. Even though she thought the pictures were cute, She didn't like the story and said it wasn't believable.

Adult Reader Reaction: This is not a fun, lighthearted story. I thought it was too deep for a young child (even as a picture book), and didn't enjoy reading it. I thought she might enjoy the story and was surprised she did not even want to finish it.

Pros: Beautiful illustrations about the excitement of waiting for a new baby help children see that they are loved even before they join a family.

Cons: The book did not flow well and did not seem believable.
