Who had a goose for a pet? a lion cub? a donkey? This is a fact-filled book about each of the US presidents.

Young Reader Reaction: My daughter picked this because she wanted to know some about a few of the presidents. She liked the cartoon drawings and the concise fun information. She laughed at the animals Coolidge had as pets, and asked about the different events that happened during each of their presidencies. They were listed on the bottom of their pages so she would see the event and have me explain what had happened.

Adult Reader Reaction: It is nice to find a book that gives you lots of information and no politics. There were a lot of fun facts in this book. I liked that she was so interested and wanted to finish it.

Pros: Short profiles with interesting information will introduce kids to US presidents and the humorous information may help them remember who they were.

Cons: None.

Borrow or Buy: Borrow, at least. This is a fun book that can have value at home through several years of elementary school. It is a must-have for the school or local library.
