Young Reader Reaction: S/He wanted to flip the pages to see the bright illustrations, but was not interested in hearing the stories.

Adult Reader Reaction: Although billed for this audience, the stories were TOO simplistic.

Pros: The pages are sturdy and the illustrations (with comic-type characters) are entertaining.

Cons: There are better ways to simplify Bible stories for kids without dumbing them down to pablum.

Borrow or Buy: Skip it. There are lots of other first Bible Stories out there that will open your child's mind to your religion more effectively.
