Rana DiOrio - In the spring of 2009, Rana DiOrio launched Little Pickle Press, a children's publishing company that is turning heads and walking the talk of social responsibility - both in the content of her books and the way they are produced. Within weeks of her first book arriving from the printer, Rana saw the rewards of her work: A National Book Award for Children's Hardcover Nonfiction book!

Brian James - When Brian's mom Dale found a poem/manuscript he'd written in high school, they decided that it would make a perfect illustrated story. Land of the Left Sock is a collaborative effort that, like many of the socks themselves, has been waiting patiently to reveal their magic. Meet author Brian James and illustrator Dale James in our interview about this magical book.

Amanda Litz - Amanda's journey as an author began when she became a mom. A series of bedtime stories she created with her children started her on a series of adventures that ultimately led to the Traveler's Trunk adventure series and starting her own publishing company. The characters in the series are based on the children in her life, as well as a very special steamer trunk.

Peggy Williams - Even though illness forced her to retire, Peggy Williams was not ready to stop helping children. Her passion as an educator and family therapist had not changed. Thanks to some backyard friends, she's discovered a new way of connecting parents and children not only to each other, but also to their communities.
